About Joseph Eze

Joseph Eze completed his bachelor’s degree in Fine and Applied Arts at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, in 2002, after which he set up his studio, ÌSÍNKà, in Lagos, Nigeria. His practice, spanning over twenty years, involves experimentation with varied methods and mediums, including conventional and found materials, as he investigates themes of identity, nostalgia, stereotypes, and dynamic social spaces. He has featured in notable exhibitions, art fairs, museum projects, and public and private acquisitions. These include Detroit Institute of Arts, The Rothschild collection, Kent State University Museum, CCH Pounder projects, The Wright collection and the National Memorial for Peace and Justice, Alabama, U.S.A
